It always starts with a little thing. My little thing was Christmas. I mean Christmas is technically a big thing, but this was a little gift that I received.
I suggested to my husband that I might like to try making miniatures and directed him toward Spotlight to have a look.
But on Christmas Eve during our extended family gift giving, I was gifted the little Cocoa Shop. I was clearly overjoyed. Especially on Christmas Day when I received another two kits from my husband.

I ranked them in order of difficulty. As they were all fairly recent Rolife kits, they had the difficulty star rating on the front, and this one was lower in stars than the others.

As I started to build, time just flew. Feeling the pieces come together in my hands was cathartic, and I felt as if I were creating magic. The sense of satisfaction was incredible, and this cute little build sparked a real passion in me. It began an addiction to creating and building. My imagination went into overdrive with possibilities for future projects, and my life hasn’t been the same since.
